On the ground floor of Melton Wellness House you will find The Shala, a space for people to come and practice yoga, meditate or spend some time improving your physical or mental health.
Whether you're trying yoga out for the first time or you've been practicing since you were knee high to a grass hopper; this space is for you.
The physical and mental benefits of a regular yoga practice are now widely supported by scientific research.
At The Shala, we hope we are able to share some of that with you all.
The majority of our timetabled classes are accessible to anyone. We focus on modern postural yoga, use plain English and avoid unnecessary mysticism. We'll also have a huge nod to the origins of the practice and the odd philosophical teaching might appear from time to time
As well as our regular timetable, we host one off specials such as our monthly full moon meditation and sound bath, regular workshops, guest teachers, intro sessions and themed classes too.
As well as in studio practice, we also have a 'virtually yoga' hub, so you can join us online from wherever you are.
